University Admissions

American and British university counseling for francophone high schoolers.

Applying to American and British universities is often a bewildering process – even for Americans and Britons. As a foreign applicant, selecting universities, preparing tests, and submitting applications can be an especially confusing, difficult, and frustrating task. The payoff for success, however, is considerable. In international university rankings, 19 of the top 20 are either American or British.

Ivy Entry’s college preparation mission is simple: to guide families through every step of the university admissions process. All of our college admissions tutors are recent graduates of Ivy League or Oxbridge universities. Not so long ago, they themselves applied – with remarkable success – to the best American and British institutes of higher education. They are experts of the admissions system, and work with students on every aspect of their applications.

Not all tutoring agencies are created equal. Ivy Entry believes in the power of a personal connection, and we work only individually with our students. Our tutors get to know their pupils one-on-one, and tailor teaching sessions holistically to meet their specific needs. By the end of the process, our tutors become mentors – rather than just teachers – to their students.

Ideally, we guide our students through the college process from beginning to end. Nevertheless, we also offer curriculum for each specific element of the process, from the SAT, the ACT, and SAT II Subject Tests to essay writing to the selection of universities.

All students receive some form of college counseling. Only a few have Ivy Entry. In an environment where some schools accept only 5 out of 100 applicants, it pays to be unique.
